Why Stem Cells and PRP?

In vitro studies have demonstrated that platelet–rich plasma can enhance the proliferation of stem cells and fibroblasts. Activity life span of factors released following activation of PRP is limited. Stem cells instead could release biologically active factors as long as they proliferate. Proliferative capacity of these cells in vitro could last months without affecting biological characteristics.

Nevertheless, due to complete elimination of animal originated components that are used in vitro (in lab) in terms of cell proliferation stimuli, we use PRP as supportive matrix and “ignition” of the healing process.
