Creating handmade ketubahs is one of my favorite jobs as an artist. The Ketubah, or Jewish marriage contract, is a religious, legal document, and is a prerequisite to marriage under Jewish law. Ketubot have been illumined with designs reflecting the styles of many lands, and the notion of "hiddur mitzvah", or glorification of a commandment, has led to the creation of beautiful works of art to represent a couples' relationship.
Each Ketubah can be customized and personalized to create a truly unique piece of art.
